From humble beginnings James Knight Ltd was formed by industry professionals with decades of “boots on the ground” experience. Being able to have a large overview of the industry and companies within it allows us to deliver superior results in volatile and erratic markets with the number of risks we have in the industry today.  

We offer no-nonsense, effective solutions that have evolved from a medly of historic processes and modern technology.

Founding Director

James began his career as a pilot, working his way up to being a Senior Captain and Instructor in the Airlines before moving into airline management, gaining the necessary skills and qualifications to lead large and succesful organisations. For the last two decades James has held board and senior management positions alongside developing a consulting career in the Aviation Industry that require James' skills to implement critical and sustainable leadership solutions. James is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, Chartered Management Institute, the Institute of Consulting and an IEMA Environmental Management Practitioner - wel suited to found James Knight Ltd!

There is an overly relaxed approach to sustainable micro-economies which are not effectively matching the social, reputational, financial and legal objectives of the corporate strategy. Failure to lead an organisation into a sustainable future may not become apparent on the bottom line today, but will be extremely penalising down the road if not planned for effectively.

This brought me to start a no nonsense aviation consultancy, providing straight forward, rapid and transparent solutions to public and private aviation organisations.”
